So, what's a Podcast? To put it simply, a Podcast is an audio file, a MP3, or download it to iTunes, iPodder, Yahoo, or any program that can receive a podcast file. The podcast isn't live, so you can listen to it whenever you want. We welcome your feedback. Just send an email to us at info@naswnj.org and put "podcast" in the subect line of your email.
NOTE: In a collaborative relationship with Jonathan B. Singer, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children and families, NASW-NJ features his podcasts on our NASW-NJ Web site. Jonathan joined the social work faculty at the School of Social Administration at Temple University in August, 2008.
Singer's podcasts provide information on all things social work, including direct practice (both clinical and community organizing), research, policy, and education. He explores topics that are relevant to social workers, whether they are practicing in the field, teaching in higher ed, formulating policy on Capitol Hill, or running regression analyses in their offices. Although the intended audience is social workers, the information will be useful to anyone in a helping profession (including psychology, nursing, psychiatry, counseling, and education). The general public might also find these podcasts useful as a way of learning what social workers understand to be important.
